Baltimore City

Northern District

Drug arrests: Three men between the ages of 19 to 25 were arrested Thursday evening and charged with marijuana violations in what police described as an open-air drug market in the 3900 block of Falls Road in Hampden. After Officer James Liberto of the district's drug enforcement unit observed two men selling a third man marijuana, other officers left their positions and arrested the men, said Sgt. Donald Kramer. Recovered was about $100 and a dozen plastic baggies containing marijuana. Two of the men were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, while the third was charged with simple possession of the contraband. Because of a continuing investigation, their names were not released, said Kramer. All three were being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Western District

Arrest: A man charged in a warrant with first-degree murder surrendered to police Wednesday at the Central District. Ricardo McCullough, 19, of the 1700 block of W. Fayette St. is charged with shooting Charles Talbert, 30, on Aug. 14. Talbert was found lying on his living room floor of his home in the first block of N. Mount St. bleeding from gunshot wounds. He died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A .357 Smith & Wesson handgun, 50 bullets and $2,000 cash - all valued at $2,620 - were stolen from a house in the 200 block of Larkspur Lane between Tuesday and Thursday by someone who entered through a rear window.- Richard Irwin
