Winning first game

September 09, 2005

Marriotts Ridge, which opened last week as Howard County's 12th high school, played host to Mount Hebron High School yesterday in the first junior varsity football game of the season.

Before a good crowd, the Mustangs, coached by Ken Hovet, defeated the Vikings of Mount Hebron, 27-0. Danny Incontrera caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Kevin Seker and intercepted a pass. Seker also threw a touchdown pass to Vincent Testerman and ran for a touchdown.

Because Marriotts Ridge opened with only freshman and sophomores, it must play a JV schedule. Many of the sophomores were redistricted from Mount Hebron, which is few miles away.
