Ravens sign eight players to practice squad

Team includes six who spent training camp with Baltimore, including Norton, Winborne, M. Smith

The Ravens signed eight players to their practice squad on Tuesday, including six who were released by the team over the weekend.

Cornerbacks Zach Norton and Jamaine Winborne, linebacker Mike Smith, running back Alex Haynes and offensive linemen Dante Ellington and Phil Hawkins will all join the developmental roster. All six were waived Saturday, when the Ravens made their final roster cuts to get down to the NFL limit of 53. Smith was the team's seventh-round pick in teh 2005 draft.

Baltimore also signed defensive lineman Darrell Lee and wide receiver Cole Manger.

Lee (6-3, 271), a second-year pro from the University of Florida, spent training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also played for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe in 2005, where he posted 26 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Manger (6-2, 196), a rookie from Bowling Green, was waived by the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.
