Employee who was killed in explosion is identified

State work-safety officials have identified the body of a 29-year-old Carroll County worker who died Tuesday afternoon after the fuel truck he was cutting into exploded.

Jeremy James Williams of Taneytown was an employee of Sykesville-based Renehan's Water For Pools, which is owned by his aunt, Beverly Renehan, and his cousin, Joseph Renehan.

State officials said Williams was using a blowtorch to cut into the back of the recently purchased, but used, fuel truck, trying to convert it for pumping water.
