12 State titles captured by teams coached by Kerry Ward, a Maryland record (1969 and 1973 with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase boys program, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1992 with the Walt Whitman boys, 1976, 1977 and 1978 with the B-CC girls and 1990, 1991 and 1992 with the Whitman girls).
