Tonight's game

Towson (0-0) vs. Morgan State (0-0)

Site: Johnny Unitas Stadium

Time: 7

Radio: 88.9 FM, 89.7 FM

Series: Towson leads, 12-5

Outlook: Emotions will be running high for this game, as both teams need to get off to strong starts as well as protect their Baltimore football turf. Morgan is a preseason pick to finish fourth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference but could exceed expectations if redshirt sophomore quarterback Byron Selby (Dunbar) continues to perform as he did in the final preseason scrimmage last Thursday night. Selby completed 23 of 31 passes for 307 yards with no interceptions. The Bears are coming off a 5-6 year after posting two consecutive winning seasons. Towson is trying to recover from a 3-8 year in which it was winless (0-8) in its first season in the Atlantic 10. The Tigers will have a new starting quarterback in second-year freshman Sean Schaefer, who has beaten out third-year sophomore Andrew Goldbeck for the position. Towson enters the season with two talented senior cornerbacks, Allante Harrison and Davon Telp. Senior Towson center Gus Kosmakos has been suspended for the game for violating athletic department policy.
