Waitsman, Janice Harris

JANICE HARRIS WAITSMAN, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 30, 2005. She moved to Fairfax Virginia last year and past away at Arlington Hospital Center after a long battle of COPD. She was a Baltimore native, who moved to Norfolk some 58 years ago. Janice was an Electrolysis for over 20 years and one of the first in the Norfolk area. Janice was the former owner of Suffolk and Bayside Pawn Shops. She was a member of Bethel Shalom Temple and the Ladies Auxiliary. Janice was predeceased by her husband Jay Lee Waitsman and her parents Sarah and Benjamin Harris. She is survived by four children, Sally Phill, Mark Waitsman, Larry Waitsman, and Ellen Wellington and her six grandchildren as well as five great-grandchildren. She also has a surviving brother Leon Harris. A Funeral Services will be held at The Memorial Spiritualist Church, 307 West 37th Street, Norfolk, VA at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 1st. Graveside service immediately following will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel is handling the arrangements.
