Ottawa 5, Pawtucket 2: Tim Raines went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the host Lynx (67-71) over the Red Sox (71-67).

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 8, Reading 1: Joey Hammond went 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs and two walks for the Baysox (72-64). The host SeaWolves slipped to 63-73. Orioles right-hander Daniel Cabrera, on an injury rehabilitation assignment, will start today for Bowie.

Single-A Carolina League

Frederick 16, Myrtle Beach 4

Single-A South Atlantic League

Hagerstown 6, Lakewood 2: Carlos Gomez had two hits, two runs, two RBIs, three stolen bases and an outstanding catch in center field for the visiting Suns (24-37).

Blake Eager (6-3) allowed two runs in five innings and earned his first win since July 21.

The BlueClaws dropped to 29-34.

Staten Island 7, Aberdeen 2: David Hernandez (1-2) gave up five earned runs on five hits in the first inning and took the loss. The host IronBirds fell to 24-42 and the Yankees improved to 47-20.

Rookie Appalachian League

Danville 6, Bluefield 1: Reliever Daniel Lonsberry (0-1) took the loss as he gave up three runs on three hits in two innings for the Orioles (30-37).

Chorye Spoone relieved Lonsberry and gave up three earned runs in one inning. The host Braves improved to 47-20.
