Sister Therese Dennie, 75, Catholic High staff member

Sister Therese Dennie, a Catholic High School staff member, died of heart disease Aug. 22 at Shrine of the Little Flower Convent in Northeast Baltimore. She was 75.

She was born in Wilmington, Del., and entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia in 1949 as Sister Josepha before resuming use of her birth name. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Villanova University and a master's degree from Marywood University.

She taught at St. Anthony Parochial School in Gardenville, and at her death was administrative assistant for academics and admissions at Catholic High on Edison Highway.

She had also taught in Philadelphia; Trenton, N.J.; Allentown, Pa.; and Walpole, Mass.

A funeral Mass was offered Thursday at Shrine of the Little Flower Church.

Sister Therese is survived by two cousins, Ellen Devenney of Wilmington and Michael Harrington of Newark, Del.
