Upgrade is set to shut down library's catalog services 2 days

August 28, 2005

Howard County Library's catalog will be unavailable tomorrow and Tuesday because the catalog will be upgraded. Changes are being made in preparation for a much larger upgrade next spring.

Customers will not be able to get replacement library cards until Wednesday -- driver's licenses and other forms of identification will be accepted in lieu of library cards.

Other services that will be unavailable include e-mail access; Telecirc and online catalog renewal; downloadable e-books and audiobooks; live homework help and self checkout. In addition, DialPAC will no longer be available after today.

All other services will resume Wednesday. Information: contact a branch library.
