Baltimore County police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man wanted for allegedly raping and robbing a woman Sunday.

The victim told police she returned to her home in the 2400 block of Chetwood Circle about 10:30 p.m. After she parked her car, she noticed a man walking toward her, police said.

The suspect followed the woman to her apartment door, forced her inside and then raped and robbed her, according to authorities.

The victim told the man she had to go to work at 4 a.m., and he left the apartment.

The woman called a family member who immediately called police. The victim was treated at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

The suspect is described as black, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with a large muscular build, brown eyes and a dark complexion. He is bald and has a tattoo on his left upper arm of a red heart with a name written in black. The suspect also has a scar on his right eyebrow and a mole on the left side of his neck, police said.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587). Those calling Metro Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
