Tip of the week: Strategies for controlling stressWhile some stress is necessary and an important part of daily life, excessive stress creates a barrier that disrupts mental and physical health.

Here are some tips that can reduce stress:

Pay attention to your responses to pressure.

Recognize your limitations.

Remind yourself of your positive attributes and qualifications.

Don't waste time on needless opposition.

Take a short break.

Confide in someone about your anxiety.

Go for a walk when feeling pressured.

Don't bring work home or work late and on weekends on a regular basis.

Remember to put things in perspective.

Things are rarely as bad as we make them out to be. Most of the things that we worry about never actually happen.
