Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Victim named: Tavon Antwan Granger, 20, of the 1000 block of N. Payson St. was named by police yesterday as the man shot about 1:35 a.m. Wednesday as he stood with several others near Pall Mall Road and Loyola Southway. Granger, shot multiple times, died a short time later at Sinai Hospital. Anyone with information was urged to call Metro Crime Stoppers toll free at 866-7LOCKUP.

Northwestern District

Stabbing: A 43-year-old man was outside a carryout in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Ave. about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was attacked by a man and stabbed in the back, arm and hands with a sharp weapon. The victim stumbled into the carryout, where a city schools police officer assisted him and called for help. He was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Southern District

Burglary: Police were seeking two men caught by a surveillance camera breaking into Federal Hill Wine & Spirits in the 900 block of S. Charles St. early Wednesday after smashing a glass front door with a brick. Five bottles of liquor and $100 were stolen.

Stolen vehicle: A silver 1998 Volkswagen Passat with Chesapeake Bay tags 388 28BY was stolen Wednesday in the 100 block of W. Ostend St.

Western District

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $180 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1000 block of Harlem Ave. by someone who entered through a bedroom window.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a female cabdriver of $35 Tuesday night after she had driven them from the 5200 block of Saybrook Road in Northeast Baltimore to the 500 block of N. Potomac St. on the city's east side.

Robbery try: A 27-year-old woman was in her home in the 400 block of N. Clinton St. about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday when a man armed with a handgun forcibly entered and demanded drugs. When she insisted she had no drugs and ordered the man out of her house, he fled.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Drug arrest: A Cecil County woman stopped Wednesday afternoon for speeding on southbound Interstate 95 near the Hazelwood Avenue overpass was also charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana. In her rented 2005 Chevrolet, Officer Gregory Day of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police found two purses containing a total of $14,400, and a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in plain view. Police recovered cocaine and marijuana. Charged and then released on $15,000 bond was Mareesha Phillips, 29, of Port Deposit.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Two houses in the 400 block of Burbank Court were broken into over a period of several days. Stolen, according to the reports made Wednesday, were several pieces of jewelry, DVDs, clothing and two bottles of liquor - all valued at $1,300.
