The Johns Hopkins University appointed Dr. Daniel E. Ford as vice dean for clinical investigations for both its School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Greater Baltimore Medical Center named Fallston resident Barbara Ertle director of pharmacy for the Towson hospital.

HOSPITALITY & TOURISM

Skye Hospitality LLC named Raelynn Samar executive housekeeper at its Hampton Inn & Suites Arundel Mills/BWI and Emma Bullock assistant general manager at the Residence Inn by Marriott Arundel Mills/BWI.

TELECOM

CloseCall America, based in Stevensville, named Holly Laucht, information technology, and Shanna Britton, customer service, as senior managers. Named as local services managers were: Rachel Divita, Melodie Rowan and Jennifer Washburn.

ON THE BOARD

Johns Hopkins Medicine named Dr. Lenox D. Baker Jr. chairman of the medical institution's board of visitors.

House of Ruth Maryland named Joseph Timmins president of the board of directors and announced the election of Marsha Becker, Steven Bers, Priscilla Hoblitzell, Amy Newhall and Michael Rosen to posts on the board.

Greater Baltimore Technology Council announced the election of Katherine A. Hearn to its board of directors.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Fandango Special Events has appointed Chase Clark as senior director and Engel Tomakin as an account executive for the Baltimore-based events management company.

Sturn Wagner Lombardo & Co. LLC named Honesto Ramirez as manager and Rebecca Maness as director in the tax department of the Annapolis accounting and business consulting firm.

Harborside Sales Group appointed Robert Mumby senior vice president and Julie Mazzola as a vice president of the Baltimore-based distribution consulting and third-party sales company.

Benelogic LLC announced that Annemarie Fitzpatrick has joined the Timonium-based provider of online employee benefits administration as a regional sales manager.

Acme Paper & Supply Co. Inc. named Regina Pollard director of customer satisfaction for the Savage-based industrial packaging, paper goods, restaurant and janitorial supplies house.

Conti & Fenn announced that Gregory T. Lawrence joined the Baltimore law firm as a full partner. The firm is now Conti Fenn & Lawrence.

Hanover Insurance Co. named Timothy A. Shields, formerly underwriting director for St. Paul Travelers, as manager of its Maryland branch office.

Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander LLC said Michael W. Briggs joined the Baltimore law firm as counsel in its financial services group.

Shapiro Sher Guinot & Sandler admitted Paula D. Miller to the firm as an associate in the business law department.

Johns Hopkins Medicine appointed Dr. David B. Hellmann, chairman of the department of medicine, as vice dean of its Bayview campus and Steven A. Rum as senior associate vice president. He will head development and alumni relations.

Citizens National Bank appointed Janet Veazey, Beltsville, Fran Jones, Elkridge, and Kelly White, Montpelier/Laurel, as branch managers for the Laurel-based bank.

SunTrust Maryland named Maria Lebow and Kartik H. Shah as bank officers at the regional bank's Glen Burnie branch office.

National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship appointed Darlene Ajayi as program director in its Baltimore office.
