Syracuse 9, Ottawa 4: Dave Borkowski (9-8) gave up three home runs and Andy Mitchell gave up another as the Lynx (61-62) faltered on the road against the SkyChiefs (62-61).

Tim Raines went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI to lead Ottawa.

Potomac 5, Frederick 3: Despite back-to-back homers by Jeff Fiorentino and Nate Spears in the ninth inning, the Keys (25-21) lost to the visiting Nationals (26-24), who won their third straight.

Fiorentino raised his season home run total to 18.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Hagerstown 4, Hickory 3: Joshua Wyrick scored the winning run on Matthew Fisher's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth, sending the host Suns (15-30) past the Crawdads (27-22). Kannapolis 6, Delmarva 5: The Intimidators (26-18) scored a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to beat the host Shorebirds (30-17).

Single-A New York-Penn League

Staten Island 2, Aberdeen 1 (10 innings): Eduardo Nunez scored the game-winning run on Felipe Garcia's sacrifice fly as the Yankees (34-18) defeated the IronBirds (18-35).
