Real, William W. "Bill"

August 16, 2005

In Loving Memory of WILLIAM W. "BILL" REAL. August 9, 1941-July 21, 2005. Loving father of Kathryn R. Poindexter (Joe) and Kimberlee R. Heuneman (Jeremy). Constant companion of his twin brother Ronald E. Real (Dee). Proud grandfather of Abigail K., Joseph E., and Benjamin R. Poindexter and Caleb R. and Joshua B. Heuneman. Bill was outgoing, giving, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a faithful employee of Western Electric/AT&T for thirty-six years. He took great pride in his hobby as a hunter and enjoyed spending many years of good times with his friends from the "Sunrisers" hunting club. Bill was proud to be a US Marine, graduating from Parris Island in 1962 and a patriotic American. He was such a strong supporter of the Marines that he made several trips to Parris Island with his brother to honor the new graduates each year. He was a war history buff visiting many battle sites from Gettysburg to Palau. In fact today on his birthday he would have been touring Guadalcanal. Bill was a great friend to many from all stages of his life including several from his early childhood. Most recently, as a member of American Legion Post 180, he enjoyed the time he spent with his friends there. At Bill's request, no services will be held. His final resting place will be Parris Island. We will miss you, Dad.
