Grazer, Dr. William F., Ph.d.

On August 10, 2005, DR. GRAZER (63 years old) of Odenton, MD., died after a valiant struggle with lung cancer. He is survived by his Wife Kathleen (Reed) of Odenton, MD; son Kevin, of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Dr. Ellen Basile and her husband Jim of Philadelphia; four Grandchildren, Matthew, Austin, Kathleen and Declan all of Philadelphia. Brothers, Walter and Wife Anita of Vienna, Virginia; Joe and his wife Jane of Texas. Mother Clara Grazer of Richmond, Virginia. Brothers-in-law, Roark Reed (Diane)of Rockett, Texas; Terry Reed (Mary Ellen) of Silver Spring; Richard Reed (Elizabeth) of Guam; and Mark Reed (Maria) of Ellicott City and many loving nieces and nephews around the world. Dr. Grazer was born on July 31, 1942, in Richmond, VA. He was a long-time professor of marketing at Towson University, where he received the Teacher of the Year award on a number of occasions. Dr. Grazer also taught at University of Baltimore, Clemson University and The University of Maryland, where he received his doctorate. Dr. Grazer served in the USAF from 1964 to 1969 during the Vietnam conflict as a Captain. He served with SAC in various posts in the US and the South Pacific. Dr. Grazer had a longtime love of trains and was an expert maker of model train dioramas. He also had a love of gardening and enjoyed landscaping his yard in Odenton. Dr. Grazer, decided to donate his remains to the State of Maryland board of Anatomy for medical training so his love of teaching can continue long after his death. There will be a private memorial service at a later date. The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
