Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from state and local police and sheriff's reports in Carroll County.

Berrett

Arrest: A Carroll County sheriff's deputy arrested a 19-year-old Rockville man and two juveniles about 12:20 a.m. Aug. 2, after Deputy Chris McMillen found that a disabled 1996 Acura on Route 97 north of Route 26 had license tags reported stolen April 29 from Prince George's County. A second vehicle at the scene also had tags registered to another vehicle, but neither of the vehicles had been reported stolen.

Finksburg

Theft: Someone took two wallets, a box of latex gloves, pornographic books, and a case of 24 CDs from an unlocked white 2004 Chevrolet Express and a white 1989 Ford Probe parked in a driveway on Blueberry Lane, between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 6 a.m. Aug. 2, according to state police at the Westminster barracks.

New Windsor

Burglary: A resident of the 100 block of High St. reported a theft with unknown losses between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. July 27, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Sykesville area

Thefts: Clothing and other items were reported stolen from three unlocked vehicles in the 5700 block of Bartholow Road, between 10 p.m. July 22 and 10 a.m. July 23, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Union Bridge

Vandalism: Rocks thrown from a passing vehicle caused about $500 damage to another vehicle at Hapes Mill and Middleburg roads at 5:10 p.m. July 25, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Westminster area

Theft: A teenage girl jumped out of a silver-colored Pontiac Grand Am and ran under the table of the Brothers produce stand in the 1600 block of Bachmans Valley Road, and grabbed about $60 from a plastic kitchen container about 1:50 p.m. July 23, state police said.

Theft: Two tickets for a Baltimore Ravens game in Row 9, Section 538 for an unknown date were among items reported stolen from three unlocked vehicles parked in the 200 block of Garden Way on July 27, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Theft: A mailbox with a University of Maryland logo was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Chazadale Way between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. July 28, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. The mailbox was valued at $75.

Vandalism: Someone caused about $100 damage to the lawn and fence of a home in the 1700 block of Fridinger Mill Road, according to a July 24 report to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Unauthorized use: A 2000 Toyota Corolla was taken between July 17 and 18 from the 1300 block of Silver Run Valley Road, and criminal charges are pending, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Westminster

Shoplifting: An employee of Kohl's department store reported the theft of a Kitchen Aid mixer valued at about $300 from the store about 2:45 p.m. July 30, city police said.

Theft: A shopper at the Super Fresh store in the Westminster Crossing Shopping Center reported the theft of her wallet from her purse about 1 p.m. July 20, city police said. The loss was placed at $29.

Vandalism: An employee of the Carroll County Health Department in the 200 block of S. Center St. reported about $200 damage to an outside intercom box at 3:30 p.m. July 25, city police said.

Vandalism: A state employee reported a broken office window in the 200 block of Center St. about 1:30 p.m. July 23, city police said. The damage was estimated at $50.

Shoplifting: Several boxes of Claritin valued at about $90 were reported stolen from the Safeway store in the College Square Shopping Center about 9:30 p.m. July 24, city police said.

Vandalism: A Pontiac Grand Prix was egged in the 200 block of E. Main St., a resident told city police about 11:30 a.m. July 26.

Theft: A rear license plate was reported stolen about 7 a.m. July 29 from a Ford parked in the first block of Hillside Court, city police said.

Theft: A Taneytown woman reported the theft of her wallet while she was at the TownMall of Westminster about noon July 31, city police said. The loss was placed at $128.

Vandalism: A resident of the first block of Liberty St. reported dents in the roof and rear area of a Ford Focus parked behind the home about 11 a.m. July 27, city police said.

Vandalism: Someone scratched the hood of a Chevrolet Cavalier parked at the rear of the 100 block of E. Green St., according to a report to city police about 7:30 a.m. July 21. The damage was estimated at $500.

Vandalism: Someone punctured the driver's side door of a Buick station wagon parked in the 300 block of Royer Road, causing an estimated $200 damage, according to a report to city police.

Theft: A $250 cellular telephone was reported stolen from a Lincoln Town Car parked in the 100 block of S. Court St. about 7:40 p.m. July 26, city police said.

Vandalism: Someone spray painted the side of a home in the first block of W. George St., causing about $70 damage, according to a report to city police at 5:19 p.m. July 26.

Vandalism: An unknown white powder was put into the gasoline tank of a Subaru Impreza in the first block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 7 p.m. July 25, according to a report to city police.

Vandalism: A resident of the 200 block of Uniontown Road reported $600 damage to two windows and two screens about 8 p.m. July 27, city police said.

Vandalism: A resident reported all four tires punctured on an Oldsmobile van at 5:54 a.m. Aug. 2, while it was parked at the rear of a home in the first block of Bond St., city police said. The damage was estimated at $200.
