Barnhart, Emma Louise

EMMA LOUISE BARNHART died peacefully at home on August 6, 2005. Born on March 17, 1908 in Havre de Grace, Md., the daughter of William and Ella Hyland. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church of Colora; Cecil County Homemakers Club; a charter member of the Senior Citizens Club in Rising Sun; and life member of the O.E.S. #27 of Havre de Grace. An avid reader and crafter, she was active until her death. Devoted wife of the late Warren L. Barnhart and beloved mother of Gene W. Barnhart and his wife, Carrie of Saltsburg, PA., Marybeth Ganzmann, Marjorie Norment of Colora, MD., Nancy Barnhart and Gloria Clift (her "Southern Daughter") of Perry, Fl. Grandchildren Thomas Connelly, Jr., Pam Scott, Marybeth Stingle and Mike Barnhart, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Steve and Paul Barnhart. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 2 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Colora, MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice, Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church or Janes United Methodist Church in memory of Emma.
