Devil Rays update

Though far from contenders, the Devil Rays have lost only three series since the break and are 15-8 in the second half. They need to do better on the road, however. Perhaps scared to play in front of more than a few thousand people, they're 15-41 away from Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay is 3-3 on a road trip that has six games remaining. The Devil Rays have allowed 135 home runs, most in the AL. Tampa Bay also has allowed seven grand slams, a team record. "We've seen this movie before," manager Lou Piniella said after Sunday's loss, which included a grand slam by the Los Angeles Angels' Casey Kotchman and a three-run shot by Adam Kennedy. "Don't think we just sat down in the theater to see this one. Don't think this was the premiere." The Orioles are 5-4 against Tampa Bay, including a three-game sweep at Camden Yards from April 29 to May 1.
