Man killed in 2-car collision in Carroll Co.

August 05, 2005

A 20-year-old Gamber woman remained in serious but stable condition yesterday after a two-car collision in Carroll County late Wednesday in which a man was killed.

The man, who was not carrying identification, died after the 1988 Ford Escort he was driving crossed the center line of Route 91 near Route 32 and collided with a southbound 2002 Hyundai Elantra, police said.

Police identified the driver through fingerprinting yesterday but were withholding his name until his family could be notified.

The Hyundai driver, Jennifer Mills of the 1300 block of High Ridge Drive in Gamber, was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was in serious but stable condition, according to a hospital spokesman.

Police investigators said both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
