Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2, Ottawa 1: In a pitchers' duel, John Maine struck out five through eight innings but still lost to Kevin Hodge (3-1) and the visiting Red Barons (55-57).

Walter Young hit his 23rd double and drove in Ottawa's (55-56) lone run in the fourth.

Bowie 3, Norwich 1: Morgan Clendenin and Jeffrey Hammond homered as the host Baysox (55-55) defeated the Navigators (52-58).

Single-A Carolina League

Frederick 10, Wilmington 2: Jeff Fiorentino homered twice and Brian Bock added one in the seventh as the Keys (19-15) routed the visiting Blue Rocks (14-23).
