BANKING & FINANCE

Provident Bank appointed as vice presidents Jon R. Christmann, project management office; Bonnie A. Cuber, secured lending department, and Gerald K. Baroudi, in the small business division, of the Baltimore-based regional bank.

SunTrust Bank, Maryland appointed Darlene Miglioretti as head of its business banking group.

The Columbia Bank named Fawn N. Bennett vice president of commercial lending for the Howard County financial institution.

T. Rowe Price Associates Foundation named Stacey Van Horn executive director. She is responsible for managing daily operations, including charitable giving, corporate memberships and general corporate goodwill.

EDUCATION

College of Notre Dame of Maryland announced the selection of Leona A. Sevick as assistant academic dean at the North Baltimore Catholic women's college.

ON THE BOARD

Howard County Chamber of Commerce elected Del D. Karfonta, executive vice president of Columbia Bank, chairman of its board of directors.

Human Genome Sciences named Barry A. Labinger executive vice president and chief commercial officer for the Rockville-based biotechnology company.

APS Healthcare Inc. appointed Eileen O'Shea Auen as chief executive officer of the Silver Spring-based provider of specialty health care solutions.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center named Dr. Michael R. Christy, a surgeon specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, to the staff of the East Baltimore hospital.

Cytomedix Inc. appointed Andrew Maslan as chief financial officer of the Rockville biotechnology company.

Praxis Engineering Technologies named Jeremy Kaufman vice president of solutions for the Annapolis Junction-based software developer.

Adhesives Research Inc. appointed Robert G. Valenti as director of human resources for the developer of pressure-sensitive adhesives.
