On July 26, 2005, SALONIA BLONDZELLA COOK. She leaves a bereaved husband Enoch Robinson Cook, Jr.; a son Enoch Robinson Cook, III.; a community of friends and family who loved her. Salonia was addressed as Blondie in her younger years; short for Blondie from the comic character "Blondie and Dagwood." Salonia or Blondie was born the daughter of James Waters and Rosa Williams of Baltimore City on May 14, 1918. Blondie, F.D.H.S., Alumni, F-'39, had a lust for life and believed in living life fully, but not hording it illustrated by being flamboyant, a community activist and an active church board member. At 84 years young, Salonia passed away in her sleep. On October 13, 2005, Salonia and Enoch, Jr. would have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. Blondie was called home on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 4:30 A.M. Memorial Service will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 3800 Roland Avenue on Sunday, July 31, 2005, at 3 P.M. The Family encourages donations instead of flowers to either the University of Maryland Medical School or the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Reception will follow immediately after service.
