Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Anne Arundel County.

Northern District

Robbery, assault: Someone took a man's wallet, cell phone and medication, then assaulted him behind a K-Mart store in Glen Burnie on July 22. The victim, who is homeless, went to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was treated.

Carjacking: A 39-year-old man's car was stolen in the parking lot of the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in Glen Burnie on July 19. Witnesses said another man pulled the victim out of his blue Toyota Camry and drove off with the car. The victim was treated for minor injuries at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Metro Crime Stoppers have posted a reward of up to $2,000 for anyone with information about the incident.

Annapolis

Rabid bat: The Anne Arundel County Department of Health wants to talk with anyone who came in contact with a bat at Cathedral and Dean streets in Annapolis on Monday or Tuesday. Individuals with information can call 410-222-7256.

Injury: An Annapolis police officer was struck on the head by a tree limb Wednesday while he was working in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Ave. during a thunderstorm. The officer was treated at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Eastern District

Bank robbery: A man walked into the Suburban Federal bank on Ritchie Highway in Arnold on Thursday, put his arm around a customer and announced a robbery, according to police. The man kept his right hand in what appeared to be a manila envelope - suggesting that he had a weapon. Bank tellers gave the man money and a dye pack, then they sounded an alarm. The man fled behind the bank and the dye pack exploded.

Arrests: Police arrested two men in Riviera Beach on drug charges after they were stopped for speeding Monday. The driver, who is from Hanover, had a suspended license. Police searched the car and found 58 grams of suspected crack cocaine worth roughly $5,800. They also found suspected Ecstasy tablets and $2,935 in the driver's pocket. There was an arrest warrant outstanding on the other man, who is from Odenton.

Western District

Armed robbery: A man carrying a silver-colored, semi-automatic handgun robbed the Mills Crown gas station in Jessup on Tuesday. The man walked to the station, filled a plastic container with gas, took a soda and then demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. The robber ran away.

Stabbing: A 13-year-old Severn boy stabbed another 13-year-old boy in the shoulder during an argument Monday, police said. The suspect was charged with first-degree assault and police were looking for a second suspect. The injured boy was treated at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Shooting: A man was shot in the right hand at the Seven Oaks Shopping Center in Odenton on Sunday. Witnesses said that two groups of men were fighting in the parking lot when the man was shot.

Armed robbery: A man stole purses at gunpoint from two women in the 8200 block of Autumn Lake Court in Severn on Sunday. The man ran away.

Southern District

Robbery and assault: A man was robbed and assaulted by seven people outside his home in Edgewater on July 23, police said. The men stole the man's white Ford truck and toolbox.
