Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2, Ottawa 1: Mike Bacsik (6-6) struck out three and allowed five hits while Chuck Smith (0-3) struck out eight and allowed six hits as the host Red Barons (51-54) beat the Lynx (51-53).

Double-A Eastern League

Reading 7, Bowie 4: Two home runs by Juan Richardson and one by Chris Roberson helped the host Phillies (50-54) defeat the Baysox (51-52).
