On July 25, 2005, STANLEY T. PINKNER, 68, of Chochowinity, NC. Son of the late Maurice Pickner and Nettie Kramer Pinkner. He was a retired veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Saratoga and USS Hancock. He was on the CINCPAC Fleet Staff and worked with the Bureau of Navy Personnel. He was a member of the DAV and Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Member of the Knights of Columbus Third Degree. Survivors include his close friends, Paul and Patricia Coakley of Cypress Landing, NC, and many cousins in MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 A.M, Thursday, July 28 at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will be 2 P.M, Friday, July 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Parish Cemetery, Pikesville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to Mother of Mercy Catholic Church Building Fund, 112 W. 9th Street, Washington, NC, 27889 or Community Home Care & Hospice, 604 E. 12th Street, Washington, NC, 27889.
