Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Victim identified: Police named Devrin G. Burrell yesterday as the youth who was fatally shot Sunday night in the 2000 block of Cylburn Ave. Burrell, 17, of the 4700 block of Reisterstown Road, was shot multiple times and found staggering in the nearly dark section of the street near the city's Cylburn Arboretum by motorists. He died at nearby Sinai Hospital. No arrest had been made. Anyone with information was urged to call homicide Detective Michael Johnson at 410-396-2100.

Southern District

Shootings: A 34-year-old man and a girl, 13, were shot about 3 a.m. Monday outside a carryout in the 1800 block of W. Pratt St. The man, shot in the stomach, was taken by a friend to Bon Secours Hospital, where his condition was not available. The girl, who was a bystander, also had a stomach wound and was reported in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Burglary: Two DVD players, jewelry and 65 DVD movies - all valued at $1,574 - were stolen Monday from a house in the 300 block of S. Monroe St. by someone who entered through a side window.

Eastern District

Theft/arrest: Officer Sereathia Dismel was in the 1200 block of E. North Ave. about noon Monday when she observed a man stealing a mountain bike that an 11-year-old boy had left outside a store moments earlier. After a brief foot chase, Dismel arrested the man and recovered the bike. Charged with theft was Richard Hall, 23, of the 700 block of St. Paul St.

Western District

Robbery/arrest: An 18-year-old woman was walking in the 2300 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 1 p.m. Monday when a young man with a knife robbed her of a cell phone. Arrested as he ran across the campus of nearby Frederick Douglass High School and charged with armed robbery was Dartus Johnson, 18, of the first block of Benkert St.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A 25-year-old man was shot in the lower back about 12:25 a.m. Monday while placing trash cans in the alley behind his house in the 300 block of Loney's Lane. He was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Carjacking: A man was about to enter his Lexus automobile in the 4900 block of Hazelwood Ave. about 1 a.m. Monday when a gunman robbed him of his keys and drove away. The car was recovered a short time later at Leiden and Arnhem roads.

North Point Precinct

Robbery/arrests: A couple was attempting to leave Family Dollar in the 1600 block of Merritt Blvd. about 6 p.m. Monday without paying for $94 worth of soap products when an employee tried to stop them and was assaulted. Arrested moments later and charged with assault, robbery and theft were James Vincent, 48, of the 200 block of Douglass Court, who was identified by his state prison system release card, and Layartrinetta Sowers, 30, of the 900 block of N. Castle St.

Cockeysville Precinct

Bank robbery: An apparently unarmed man robbed First Financial Federal Credit Union in the 1200 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 2 p.m. Monday.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Thirty cartons of cigarettes were stolen Monday from Village Wine & Liquors in the 7000 block of Reisterstown Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery/sexual assault: Police were seeking a man who forced a woman, 45, into woods near Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive early Monday at knifepoint, robbed her of $121 and sexually assaulted her.
