Q: Does Howard County have an official flower?

THE ANSWER

A: Yes. Queen Anne's Lace is recognized as the official flower of the county. According to the county Web site, after the Howard County Garden Clubs and the Split Rail Garden Club proposed that Queen Anne's Lace be recognized as the countys official flower, the Howard County Council introduced legislation Aug. 6, 1984, to make it official.
