The Columbia Bank, a Howard County-based financial institution, appointed Kevin J. Sullivan as vice president of commercial real estate lending. The Laurel resident has an MBA from Marymount University and is assigned to the bank's business banking office in Greenbelt.

Zolet Lenet Group, the private client unit of Smith Barney, announced that Joel Fink joined the firm as a client service assistant. A Lutherville resident, he is a 2005 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.


The Shelter Group, a Baltimore-based developer and manager of luxury apartments and senior housing communities, appointed Timothy L. Greer regional vice president for its Southeast properties; Linda T. Lo Cascio as senior vice president, affordable housing group; Michael E. Simpson, regional manager for Baltimore/Richmond area properties; and Maria E. Miller as senior development director at Shelter Development LLC.


Comcast-Spectacor appointed Peter Luukko as president and chief operating officer of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm. His duties will include oversight of three minor league affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles.

Miles & Stockbridge announced that Alfred Wurglitz has joined the Rockville, Md., and Tysons Corner, Va., offices of the locally based regional law firm as a principal.


Choice Hotels, the Silver Spring-based lodgings franchiser, has selected Anne C. Madison as vice president for communications. Formerly with the Enterprise Social Investment Corp., the Columbia resident is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Ohio.

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore appointed Lonnie Wornom guest experience director. She will supervise admissions, rides, tram, facility rental, gift shop and concession operations. Wornom previously was director of retail at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

Skye Hospitality named Raelyn Samar executive housekeeper at its Hampton Inn & Suites Arundel Mills/BWI and Emma Bullock assistant general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott, Arundel Mills/BWI.


The Loading Dock Inc. announced that Robert A. Scott, an attorney at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP in Baltimore, has been elected to the board of directors of the nonprofit clearinghouse for reusable and surplus building materials and supplies.


RWD Technologies appointed Scott Paddock as senior vice president, applied technologies solutions division; Frank Lonergan as vice president, product and business development, in the enterprise learning solutions group; and Douglas May as director of business development, applied technologies solutions.

Acme Paper & Supply named Julie Harman marketing communications manager. Acme, based in Savage, distributes food service supplies and retail and industrial packaging.
