THE QUESTION
The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail has temporary vendors along the linear park. Who and where are they?
THE ANSWER
The county has 10 locations available for lease. But right now, just two snowball vendors have permits, said Dave Dionne, superintendent of trails and greenways.
Near the end of the trail at Jonas Green State Park, Go Melvo operates a little truck. At Robinson Road, John Iaquinta has a cart.
They need the basic $40 license. They also pay $1,000 for their county permit, must pass health department inspections and carry insurance. While the contracts limit competition, they do provide for children to have lemonade stands nearby.
