Death of man found behind stores is ruled a homicide

The Baltimore County medical examiner has ruled that a 44-year-old man found dead Thursday in Essex was the victim of homicide.

James Richard Myers of the 7300 block of Greenbank Road had last been seen Monday. His body was found Thursday afternoon in a marshy area behind the Carroll Island Shopping Center.

Police are seeking information on his activities in the hours before he was killed. Anyone with information should call police at 410-307-2020.


Collision of dirt bike, SUV badly injures 2 teens, woman

Two 16-year-old boys and the driver of a sport-utility vehicle were in critical condition yesterday after a dirt bike accident at Frederick Avenue and Franklintown Road, Baltimore police said.

About 9:50 a.m., the boys were riding the bike west on Frederick when they ran a red light, police said. They crashed into a 1989 Chevrolet Blazer, which was turning onto Frederick from Franklintown Road. The two teens and the driver, a woman whom police did not identify, were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. All three were in critical condition last night, police said.


City man, 42, found shot to death on west-side street

A 42-year-old Baltimore man was shot and killed late Friday in the 600 block of N. Pulaski St., police said yesterday.

Clinton Young of the 2900 block of E. Northern Parkway was found by police lying near the street, shot multiple times in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they had no motive and no suspects.
