South County center announces activities

South County Senior Center will be offering the following activities this month:

Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., discussion on the Medicare prescription drug program.

Wednesday, 1 p.m., island-style party with music, dancing and fruit drinks.

July 27, 1 p.m., "Children From One to Ninety" puppet show.

South County Senior Center is at 27 Stepneys Lane. 410- 222-1927.

Health events, games set at Arnold Senior Center

Arnold Senior Center will have the following activities this month:

Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., Advisory Council meeting.

Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., blood-pressure screenings.

Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to noon, 10-minute back, neck and hand massages. First come, first served.

Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Karen Lambert and Gerald Riley re-create the old radio program The Bickersons. Reservations are required by Monday.

Wednesday, 10 a.m., celebrate National Lollipop Day with trivia about the candy and a showing of the Shirley Temple movie Bright Eyes.

July 26, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Book Club meets.

July 27, 12:30 p.m., happy birthday ice cream social. Reservations required by July 25.

July 29, cooking demonstration of French cuisine.

Pascal Senior Center announces year's trips

Pascal Senior Center has announced trips for the year, including:

Aug. 4, Bye Bye Birdie, Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre, Wilmington, Del.

Aug. 18, "Wings of Fancy," a live butterfly show, Brookside Gardens, Wheaton.

Sept. 19-23, weeklong trip to Lake Placid, N.Y., and the Adirondacks.

Oct. 1-3, train ride through Tygart Valley Gorge in West Virginia and visits to Snow Shoe and Elkins.

Dec. 1, Christmas From the Heart, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Lancaster, Pa.

Dec. 8-9, Williamsburg, Va., at Christmastime, and the holiday lights display in Newport News Park.

Dec. 15, concert of songs and carols at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover, Pa. Lunch at Hickory Bridge Farm. Participants must be age 55 or older and members of the center. Information: 410-222-6682.
