Celebrity softball

See some of your favorite stars dressed in softball uniforms and sporting bats and balls at basketball star Allen Iverson's annual celebrity softball classic. The classic will be at Prince George's Stadium, home of the Bowie Baysox, on Saturday.

On Iverson's invitation list are fellow NBA All-Stars LeBron James, Kevin Garnett and Tracy McGrady, among others. Also invited are some of rap's biggest names, incuding Fat Joe, Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri; and from Hollywood, Vivica A. Fox, Chris Tucker and Punk'd star Ashton Kutcher. The event will raise money to support the CrossOver Foundation.

Prince George's Stadium is at 4101 N.E. Crain Highway (U.S. 301) in Bowie, just south of U.S. 50. The game is Saturday. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the game starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 for reserved box seats and $12 for general admission. Call 301-464-4865 or visit

Liquid fun

Drink up and enjoy the warmth of summer at the Liquid Summer Festival in Fells Point this Saturday. The first-time event will include food, music and alcohol. Performers include Badfish, a Sublime tribute band; the Kelly Bell Band and Jah Works. Patrons can also browse and shop wares from local artists and taste food from Baltimore restaurants.

The night will conclude with the crowning of Baltimore's best bartender. The bartenders will compete and be judged by crowd applause. To vote in the preliminary round, visit www.baltimoresbestbartender .com; voting in this round ends today.

Women's tennis

Gear up for the U.S. Open in September at the USTA Women's Satellite Tournament in Baltimore this weekend. Sixty-four up-and-coming women's tennis players will compete for $10,000 at the seventh annual event. The tournament will be at the newly renovated Druid Hill Park Tennis Center and Club House. The renovations include a new cafe, windscreens, ball machine and racket rentals.

The Druid Hill Tennis Center is in Druid Hill Park. Directions will be posted on game days. All morning play today through Sunday begins at 10 a.m. and evening play begins at 5:30 p.m. Free. For schedules and directions, call 410-396-6136.
