On Friday, July 8, 2005, JOHN H. CONLEY SR., 74, of Elkton. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irene M. Conley, daughter Linda M. Farmer of Elkton; sons John H. Conley Jr. of Elkton, Neil H. Conley of Princeton, N.J., and Jeffery T. Conley of Rising Sun; sister Jeanne Wedig of Scottsdale, AZ, and six grandchildren; predeceased by brother James Conley. Mr. Conley was Safety Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Grounds starting in 1952 and retiring in 1989. He went back to work for APG contractors and was a DX Driver of Williams Chevrolet for two years. Mr. Conley was a member of VFW Post 8175, Elkton, MD. He was also a member of Boy Scout Troop #238. He enjoyed walking, gardening, reading mystery novels, and traveling. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 1 P.M. at Gee Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD. Friends may call from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD, following the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gee Funeral Home.
