It's a hot summer Saturday and you're standing in a packed club, parched and sweaty, in a bar line three rows deep. Sick of waiting for a cool one, you muscle your way up to the front, flag down the bartender with a fistful of cash, and realize you have no idea what you want. It has to be liquor. It has to taste yummy. And it has to be ice cold but look red hot.

Do you ask for the drink list and wait 15 more minutes for refreshment? No, you need it now!

You panic and order a Red Bull and vodka.

Booooooooo.

This doesn't have to happen anymore. Here's a list of the three most popular mixed drinks at some of the city's most popular bars and clubs. Most of them are special martinis, served only at that particular place, but there are a couple of exceptions, such as a different take on the classic cosmopolitan and the chocolate martini. So arm yourself -- if there was ever an excuse for mixed drink ignorance, it's gone.
