Artist Market

Almost 30 artists will be on hand Sunday at the Bethesda Artist Market. The artists, who will be coming from as far away as West Virginia, will be selling their crafts and wares, including jewelry, blown glass, metalwork, photography and oil and acrylic paintings. The market will also feature music by local artists Jerry Haines, Lea and Spencer Bates.

The market is at the Bethesda Place Plaza, 7700 Wisconsin Ave. The event will last from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Free. Call 301-215-6660 or visit www.bethes da.org.

Group art show

From oil on canvas to pastel on paper, the Line & Light exhibition at Annapolis' Main St. Gallery will display a large variety of works by artists Sam Dixon, Terry Miller, Stan Sperlak and Linda Volrath. The art features light florals, deep-dark drawings and handmade paper. There will be an opening reception on Saturday with all the artists present.

Main St. Gallery is at 109 Main St., Annapolis. The artwork will be displayed today through July 31. The Saturday reception is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Gallery hours are Sunday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed Tuesday) and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free. Call 410-280-2787.

Vacation pictures

Visit some of the most desirable vacation spots worldwide at Andrei Kushnir/Michele Taylor, American Painting, in Ellicott City. The gallery will be showing Vacations on Canvas from Saturday through Sept. 4. The paintings focus on foreign vacations from tropical forests to big cities.

An opening reception Saturday will include the paintings' artists and free soda and popcorn.
