Speak Out!

Hundreds of Howard County residents who live in mobile home parks - including residents of Ev-Mar Mobile Home Park in Savage - are facing a financial squeeze as rising land values prompt landowners to close parks for redevelopment.

Working-class families fear they will be displaced and lose their homes because there is no place to move their trailers. Even if there is a spot, many residents say they cannot afford moving costs - even with financial aid.

Should county government or the park owners be required to pay more of these costs?
