Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Anne Arundel County.

Northern District

Assault: A man and a woman were assaulted by two men after the couple pulled into a Citgo station in Linthicum on Tuesday. The man got out of the passenger side of the car and was struck from behind. The woman was pulled from the car and also hit from behind. Both victims were ordered to lay on the ground while the two assailants removed the victims' pants. The assailants took cash, cell phones and the car. The car was recovered.

Charges: Police say charges of attempted robbery and assault are to be filed against a man who is said to have struck another man with a large piece of wood at a 7-Eleven store near Brooklyn on Sunday. The suspect was demanding money from the victim. The victim knows the suspect and was able to identify him from photos.

Robbery: A man was robbed at gunpoint while he was taking out his trash in the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane in Glen Burnie on Sunday. The robber stole gold teeth, a gold ring, a gold necklace, boots, socks and a T-shirt.


Bank robbery: A man robbed the Annapolis Bank and Trust in the 2500 block of Riva Road on Tuesday. The robber told a teller to fill his backpack with cash or he would shoot her. No weapon was displayed. The robber ran away.

Theft: Someone stole a purse belonging to a 37-year-old Annapolis woman Tuesday while she was visiting the library. She had left her purse in her car, which was unlocked. About $200 was stolen.

Arrest: Two Annapolis residents were arrested on drug possession charges after an officer stopped their car Tuesday and found crack cocaine in the vehicle, police said.

Western District

Home invasion: Three men dressed as a police officers entered a Crofton apartment and held its occupant at gunpoint Monday. The men had what appeared to be police shields. They vandalized the apartment, stealing cash and the occupant's car keys.

Armed robbery: Two people armed with knives entered a Wendy's restaurant in Millersville and demanded money from the manager June 25. The pair also assaulted one restaurant employee and handcuffed another. The two left the store with cash.

Southern District

Robbery: A man with a knife demanded money from two teenagers working the cash register at the West River Market in Galesville on Monday. The man fled with cash; the teenagers were not harmed.

Attempted robbery: A man assaulted and attempted to rob another man at a BP station in Davidsonville on June 25. The assailant fled in a four-door truck with Maryland tags.
