Baltimore girl, 12, missing in Mass.

July 01, 2005|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A 12-year-old Baltimore girl was reported missing in Massachusetts last night after she and her brother were said to have been taken as collateral for a debt their father owed.

Police issued an Amber alert for the missing girl after raiding an apartment in Gardner. Police found crack cocaine, four suspected drug dealers and the brother, 15.

The boy told police the group had taken his sister, Raven Randall, described as a white female, 5-foot-4 with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

The group had beat the children's father in Maryland this week over a debt, said Gardner police Sgt. Roger Wrigley. Police said the father was in a Maryland hospital last night but did not release his identity.

Four men were arrested.
