Presidential Financial Corp. of the Chesapeake announced that Shan Mohamed, vice president of business development, and Brad Hecht, sales administrator, have joined the staff of the Baltimore-based alternative funding source firm for corporations. Mohamed is assigned to the firm's Arlington, Va., office and specializes in working capital financing, assets-based lending, startups, turnarounds, workouts and Chapter 11 financing. Hecht is assigned to the Baltimore office.


Saul Ewing LLC admitted Aida M. Lebbos as an associate in the business department and the technology transactions and intellectual property and life sciences practices in the Baltimore office of the regional law firm. A University of Baltimore law graduate, she was on the legal staff of the University of Maryland.


The McLean Group appointed Warren Schad as a managing director of the Tysons Corner, Va.-based investment bank.


Cylex Inc. appointed Michael Petruny, sales, and Stephen Sproul, new market development, as vice presidents of the Columbia-based life sciences company. Petruny formerly was senior director of immunology sales at Fujisawa Healthcare Inc. and Sproul joined the company in 2003 as director of sales.

Phoenix Health Systems, located in Montgomery Village, named John Hinton senior vice president of sales for the provider of information technology solutions to hospitals and health care organizations.


Manekin LLC has announced the selection of Barbara Alden and Owen J. Rouse Jr. as partners in the full-service commercial real estate firm in Columbia.


ACE*COMM announced that John Bennett was chosen as president. Before joining the Gaithersburg-based provider of network business intelligence and advanced operations support systems, he was president and chief executive officer of Sentori Inc.

Atlantic Builders Group named Paul Lubertine manager of business development for the Baltimore-based general contractor. He will aid in the building and maintaining of government and private industry relationships and explore new business opportunities.

A new landscape architecture firm has opened in Fells Point. Oasis Design Group provides landscape architecture, master planning and urban design services. The firm's founder and principal is Scott C. Scarfone.


Prince George's Chamber of Commerce has named Kathleen M. Smith as its new president and CEO. She replaces Wendi M. Williams, who resigned in December.

InterVid of North America named Gee Cosper to a post on the board of the Frederick-based integrated security systems company.
