Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Victim identified: The man found shot to death June 23, seated in an overturned pickup truck on Coleherne Road in West Baltimore, was named yesterday by city police as Darren Orrison, 37, of Martinsburg, W. Va. Homicide Detective Al Marcus said Orrison had attempted to broker a drug deal and was killed during an apparent robbery attempt. Marcus said that when Orrison was shot his foot hit the gas pedal, and the truck overturned after hitting several vehicles. No arrest had been made. Anyone with information was urged to call Marcus at 410-396-2100.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Rape: A 12-year-old girl told police she was driven by a man from White Marsh Mall to an unknown motel and raped early Monday. The girl, found walking near Eastern and Selig avenues several hours later, was treated at a hospital.

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: An employee of Len Stoler Ford was about to place a money bag in the night depository at 1st Mariner Bank on Painters Mill Road about 1:40 p.m. Monday when it was stolen by a man who implied having a gun.
