Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Anne Arundel County.

Northern District

Arrest: Police arrested a 23-year-old Baltimore man and charged him with distribution of crack cocaine and five other drug-related offenses Thursday. The arrest occurred after members of a narcotics unit surveilled a Motel 6 on Raynor Avenue in Linthicum Heights, where the man was staying. Police said they found $2,500 worth of crack cocaine in the man's hotel room.

Eastern District

Indecent exposure: Police were looking for Gregory S. Jacobs of the 100 block of Bakers Lane in Pasadena, who is charged with indecent exposure. A neighbor called police after spotting a man walking naked in the woods near Bakers Lane Thursday, police said. Police found Jacobs two hours later with his dog, a Rottweiler. Jacobs got away on foot. The dog was turned over to animal control.

Arrests: Police arrested two women and a man from Pasadena Thursday after a four-month drug investigation. All three were charged with possession of heroin and other drug charges. Police who searched the home of one of the women and the man in the 8500 block of Beacon Point Road said they found 87 capsules of packaged heroin, numerous syringes and drug-packing material.

Attempted carjacking: A man attempted to carjack a woman's vehicle at a Taco Bell in Severna Park about 9 a.m. Friday. The woman, who works at the Taco Bell, was preparing to open the restaurant. She told police she saw a man run toward her and fled to her car and locked the doors. The man took out a knife, tried to get into the car, then attempted to puncture the car's tires. The woman drove away unharmed. The man fled with another man who had been hiding near the restaurant.

Western District

Theft: A Crownsville woman reported Wednesday that her $10,000 diamond engagement ring had been stolen from her jewelry box. Police had no suspects.

Theft: A U.S. Senate staff member who lives in Laurel reported Wednesday that a hydrangea plant was stolen from her home. The woman was out of town on vacation when the plant disappeared.

Arson: A 20-year-old Glen Burnie man was arrested and charged with first-degree arson Friday after a fire was set in the men's bathroom at a Friendly's restaurant in the 2600 block of Annapolis Road. The man was a cook at the restaurant. Anyone with information can call 410-222-TIPS.

Robbery: Two men driving an older-model blue van robbed a Mobil gas station in the 1400 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton on Thursday. One of the suspects sprayed an unidentified chemical substance on the attendant and emptied the cash register while the attendant was on the ground.

Armed robbery: A man robbed another man at gunpoint in front of Medieval Times at Arundel Mills in Hanover about 6 p.m. Thursday. The man's cash and his cell phone was stolen.

Southern District

Theft: Police arrested a 48-year-old Annapolis woman Thursday for failing to pay a cab fare. The cabdriver picked her up at the 700 block of Bestgate Road in Annapolis. He stopped in the 100 block of Defense Highway and called police after the woman said she did not have money and was unable to direct him to a bank.
