MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: Suspended Orioles manager Lee Mazzilli for two games and fined him undisclosed amount for throwing objects onto field after ejection from Sunday's game vs. Rockies. Suspended Mariners 1B Richie Sexson for two games and fined him undisclosed amount for throwing objects onto field after ejection from June 18 game vs. Mets. Suspended Jeffrey Bruksch (Reds), Sergio Garcia (Dodgers), Brian Walker (Mets), Jeffrey Kennard (Yankees) and Joshua Carter (Phillies) for 15 games apiece for violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

ATHLETICS: Announced P Tim Harikkala cleared waivers and refused outright assignment to Triple-A Sacramento, becoming free agent.
