Braves update

Atlanta is in the unusual position of looking up at the Washington Nationals in the NL East. The Braves have won 13 straight division titles. They have won five of their past seven games, and six of nine, and are 10-11 in June after going 14-13 in May. Their starting pitchers led the majors with a 3.50 ERA despite having Mike Hampton, Tim Hudson and John Thomson on the disabled list. They've used eight starters this season. Note to Chen: Second baseman Marcus Giles ranked fifth in the NL with a .364 average against left-handers. Roman Colon is being called up from Double-A to pitch tomorrow. The Braves took two of three from the Orioles last year at Camden Yards, the fifth time in seven years they've won the series. The Orioles have swept the Braves twice in three-game series in Atlanta.
