Triple-A International League

Toledo 4, Ottawa 2: Carlos Pena hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning as the visiting Mud Hens (43-28) defeated the Lynx (36-35).

Jason Grilli (5-5) got the win and Matt Bruback (0-2) took the loss.

Double-A Eastern League

Altoona 8, Bowie 4: Tom Evans hit two home runs, both off losing pitcher Eric DuBose (5-8), as the Curve (40-31) downed the Baysox (34-38).

Michael Connolley worked seven innings and struck out six for the win.

Single-A Carolina League

Winston-Salem at Frederick, ppd.: Last night's game between the Warthogs (1-1) and Keys (1-1) was postponed because of unplayable field conditions. This game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Aug. 13, beginning at 4:35 p.m.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Lake County 5, Delmarva 3: Winner Reid Santos pitched six innings and shortstop Brian Finegan hit his fifth home run as the Captains (2-0) beat the visiting Shorebirds (0-2).

Santos (3-3) scattered seven hits, struck out eight and allowed only a sixth-inning run on an RBI single by Rafael Diaz.

Lakewood 7, Hagerstown 5: In a game that featured eight errors, six walks, two passed balls, two hit batters and a wild pitch, the host BlueClaws (1-1) defeated the Suns (1-1).

Single-A New York-Penn League

Hudson Valley 5, Aberdeen 2: The visiting Renegades (2-0) took a 2-1 lead after the first inning and never looked back.

Romelio Lopez (1-0) got the win and Radhames Liz (0-1) took the loss for the IronBirds (0-2).
