Suzanne S. Sheridan, 72, former Towson resident

Suzanne S. Sheridan, a former Towson resident, died of cancer June 15 at her home in Stockbridge, Mass. She was 72.

The former Suzanne Stevens was born in Larchmont, N.Y., and raised in Pelham Manor, N.Y. She earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.

After raising her family, she worked for the Lacrosse Foundation, Roland Park Country School and the Orton Dyslexia Society. She moved to Massachusetts in 1985 and had been an administrative assistant at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and painting.

Services were held Saturday in Stockbridge.

Survivors include a son, Richard C. "Chip" Sheridan III of Catonsville; two daughters, Sally W. Sheridan of Oklahoma City and Barrett C. Sheridan of Mechanicsburg., Pa.; and five grandchildren. Her 24-year marriage to Richard C. Sheridan Jr. ended in divorce.
