QUOTE OF THE WEEK

My husband had friends over when I was trying it on and I didn't want to take it off. I started cleaning up glasses wearing it.

-- Sarah Michelle Gellar, on the gown with silver beads that she wore to the Council of Fashion Designers of America's fashion awards.

The Monitor

Address: www.homestarrunner.com

What's the point?: Homestarrunner is one of the Internet's most popular original cartoons. The absurd humor is mixed with very simplistic animation to create characters such as Homestar, the title character who has no arms, and Marzipan, his hippie girlfriend. The site lets new users get acquainted with the characters with brief bios. You can watch the animation shorts, which depict annual Halloween celebrations and their own Decemberween holiday, listen to one character's voicemail and play games that are reminiscent of the early days of Pac-Man and Pong.

What to look for: Don't miss the irreverant teen girl squad. This set of cartoons focuses on the misadventures of four preteen girls: cheerleader, so and so, what's her face and the ugly one. Also make sure to check out Strong Bad's e-mails. This feature gives a comedic glimpse into the villian of homestarrunner.com.
