Corrections

An article in yesterday's Sports section stated that no men's tennis player had won three straight Wimbledon titles since the 1930s. Pete Sampras accomplished the feat in 1993-1995 and 1997-2000, and Bjorn Borg in 1976-1980.

An article yesterday about Maryland schools failing to meet state standards misstated information about the Carroll County school system. In Carroll, three out of 30 elementary and middle schools failed to make sufficient progress on this year's Maryland School Assessment exams.

Because incorrect information was provided to The Sun, the Maryland section's Week Ahead listings Monday misstated the location of an exhibition of African art. The fair is being held at Baltimore's Marriott Waterfront Hotel at 700 Aliceanna St. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Sun regrets the errors.
