Bayhawks tonight

Matchup: Bayhawks (3-0) at Rochester Rattlers (0-3)

Site: Bishop Kearney Field, Irondequoit, N.Y.

Time: 7:30

TV/Radio: None

Outlook: For the first time, Bayhawks attackman Mikey Powell, who holds the career scoring mark at Syracuse, will take on his brothers, Casey and Ryan, who are tied for second on the list. Mikey Powell will have the help of fellow Syracuse alums Gary Gait and Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week Tom Marechek, who had eight and nine points, respectively, in last week's 31-9 victory over the Philadelphia Barrage. Along with John Grant Jr., who leads the Rattlers with seven goals and six assists, Casey and Ryan Powell, who missed last week's game for other commitments, will test the Bayhawks' defense in this National Division contest. Bolstered by the short-stick defensive skills of newly activated rookie Benson Erwin (Johns Hopkins), the Bayhawks' defense has allowed the fewest goals (28). Despite leading the league in almost every statistical category, the Bayhawks' offense will be challenged by Rochester goaltender Tillman Johnson (.515 save percentage).
